WELLNESS CLINIC VETERINARIANS AND HQHV SPAY/NEUTER SURGEONS NEEDED (LOS ANGELES, SAN PEDRO, MISSION HILLS)
Full-time or part-time associate or per diem contractors with strong skills in small animal medicine and surgery, time management, and client communication desired for fast-paced clinics in San Pedro, Los Angeles and/or Mission Hills. CAMP’s mission is to help prevent shelter relinquishment of pets for treatable medical and behavioral problems by providing affordable, quality veterinary care for prevention and treatment of routine medical conditions of dogs and cats in underserved communities. In addition, the clinic supports CAMP’s overall mission to reduce shelter euthanasia by promoting, educating, and performing spay/neuter surgeries. Clinics are well-staffed with skilled and friendly team members.

EXPERIENCED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN FOR HIGH VOLUME SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC (SAN PEDRO/LOS ANGELES/MISSION HILLS)

Our non-profit Spay Neuter clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician to work with an amazing team of professionals in a fast paced work environment. The job of the vet technician includes many generalized veterinary technician duties as well as very specific duties performed by an experienced vet tech working as a surgical technician and/or recovery technician. It is essential to be both a team player and a self starter. This job is highly detailed oriented as well as repetitive in nature. The vet technician will interact with the public on a daily basis as well as handling every patient that comes into the clinic while recovering them from surgery and/or while in surgery. It is necessary in this position to be able to supervise, train and cross train staff members as well as volunteers. Additionally, it is essential to be able to speak knowledgably to clients about responsible animal ownership as well as surgical procedures, vaccine protocols, other spay and neuter protocols and animal education issues. The technician should have the ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and kneel. At all times, this position requires the technician to provide quality service to clients, patients and staff and to represent this organization. R.V.T. REQUIRED AT HIGH VOLUME SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC

Our non-profit Spay Neuter clinic is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.) to work with an amazing team of professionals in a fast paced work environment. The job of the RVT includes many generalized veterinary technician duties as well as very specific duties performed by only the RVT. This job is highly detailed oriented as well as repetitive in nature. In this position, the RVT oversees and ensures the highest quality of care of each patient that passes through the clinic. The RVT will interact with the public on a daily basis as well as handling every patient that comes into the clinic while inducing them for surgery. This position requires the ability to multi-task specific technical duties as well as directing staff in animal care before and after surgery. It is necessary in this position to be able to supervise, train and cross train staff members. Additionally, it is essential to be able to speak knowledgably to clients about responsible animal ownership as well as surgical procedures, vaccine protocols, other clinic protocols and animal education issues. At all times, this position requires the RVT to provide quality service to clients, patients and staff and to represent this organization in a courteous and professional manner.
